Yu-Sung Su received BA in Diplomacy in 1998 at NCCU; Master in International Affairs at Columbia University in 2002, MA in Politics in 2003 at New York University and Ph.D. in Political Science at the Graduate Center of City University of New York in 2009. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University and New York University between 2009 and 2010. Currently, he is a professor of political science department and the director of the Institute of Quantitative Research Methods at Tsinghua University. His research interests involve Comparative Democratization, Political Economy and Political Methodology (Causal Inference, Bayesian Methods, Multilevel Modeling, Big Data Analytic and Game Theory). He published his works in journals such as Annals of Applied Statistics, Journal of Statistical Software, Econometrika, Research Policy, Social Science Quarterly, Global Environmental Change, etc. He also maintains several R packages such as arm, R2jags.
