Lu Nan is an Associate Professor at the School of Law, Tsinghua University. He received his LL.B. from Dalian Maritime University in 2002, and his LL.M. (2007) and PhD in Law (2012) from Tsinghua University. During this period, he was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School from 2010 to 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Law School of Renmin University of China, and has been teaching at Tsinghua University since 2014.
His research focuses on comparative law and legal culture, legal theory, and sociology of law, with particular attention to fundamental theories of comparative law, legal globalisation, and law and development. He has produced substantial academic achievements, publishing numerous representative articles in leading journals such as Chinese Journal of Law, Global Law Review, and Tsinghua Law Journal, and has co-edited several important academic volumes including Readings in Comparative Law, Selected Readings in Jurisprudence, and Legal Globalisation: China and the World.
