On August 27, 2020, Prof. Lu Guangsheng, Dean of Yunnan University Institute of International Relations, and his team visited the Institute for International and Area Studies (IIAS), Tsinghua University and discussed the opportunity of further cooperation. Prof. Zhang Jing, Deputy Dean of IIAS, presided over the meeting and a number of young researchers from IIAS were present.

On behalf of IIAS, Dean Yang Guang welcomed Prof. Lu Guangsheng and his delegation and expressed his gratitude for their involvement in the talent training and academic development at IIAS. Prof. Zhao Jinsong, Deputy Dean, briefed the visitors on IIAS’s recent developments. The two parties conducted in-depth exchanges and communication on student training, research cooperation, personnel exchanges, field research and other issues and reached multiple consensuses. Both parties expressed that they will further cooperate to drive the talent training and academic development in the domain of area studies.
